In 1980 Coach Herb Brooks trained a group of young college boys to face off in the Olympics against the greatest professional hockey team ever assembled. The national Russian team had previously defeated the best pro and all-star teams worldwide. Herb’s strategic use of tough love and systems methodology inspired the boys to play beyond their natural ability. When the buzzer sounded, Team USA emerged victorious. The crowd erupted in joy. The excited announcer asked the obvious question: “Do you believe in miracles?”
